Adela 2014[:]

[:en]More than 100 researchers from all over America will gather this week at the Faculty of Physical Sciences of Universidad de Chile. The summit will offer public lectures broadcast via streaming.

“Adela is the acronym for Dynamic Astronomy in Latin America (in Spanish). The objective of our meeting, the sixth of its kind, is to coordinate the work of Latin American researchers who develop their studies in the area of Astrometrics, maintaining and expanding links with the institutions that lead global astronomy and with the desire to educate and share with new generations of scientists,” Dr. René Méndez explains, astronomer at Universidad de Chile, Assistant Researcher at MAS and Responsible for the Meeting.

This summit has a strong agenda of conferences that will seek to advance in frontier knowledge where dynamic astronomy is the common working tool.

About ADeLA

Adela is created in 2001 when its first meeting was held in San Juan, Argentina, where it was established that its principles are to promote Latin American Astronomy in the area of Astrometry and Dynamics, as well as to position this research worldwide. In this organization, researchers from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Peru, and Venezuela participated, but it has also been extended to other regions, with participants from Germany, Spain, France, and the United States.
